Light of Hope

A week ago we were at Cades Cove for the day. This is one of my most favorite spots! I have always looked at that area as a place of complete relaxation and where I can enjoy God's beauty. I have gone there to celebrate, de-stress, laugh, and cry. Sometimes all of those things in one day! I seem to let my guard down more there than usual. This allows me to be more open to God. That's probably why I have always enjoyed the work of Thomas Kinkade. I wanted to share with you one of my favorite passages from Thomas Kinkade. The last sentence is what I have had to remember through the years. I can only imagine what he is painting now!

Light of Hope

Through the trees, the peaceful streams, the gentle rays of light, my hope unfolds on canvas—a hope for a better world for my children and of a future hope in heaven.

I know such yearnings are not in vain. God paints the same optimistic picture in His Word and makes my hope sure through His Son.

Though at times the picture of life seems misshappen—with lines disjointed and colors clashing—God sees a different beauty. It's simply my job to trust His design and await with anticipation the unveiling of His final masterpiece.
