CAPTURED

Twice last week I heard the song “Rescue” by Jared Anderson of Desperation band. Each time I heard the song it did more than just move me to tears, it spoke to my spirit. The phrase that is resounding within me is, “capture me with grace”.
Grace defined:
  • The freely given, unmerited favor and love of God.
  • The influence or Spirit of God operating in humans to regenerate and strengthen them.
  • Also called “the state of Grace”, the condition of being in God’s favor or one of the elect.
I believe that the phrase “capture me with Grace” is asking the Lord to saturate our mind and hearts helping us to know that His Spirit operating in us is real and effective and as the scripture says, sufficient for everything in our lives. Often we want the Lord to rescue us from our troubles, to make them go away. On the contrary, the writer wants us to realize that it is the Grace of God that strengthens and regenerates us in every circumstance. It will renew our hope and change our focus from our circumstances and ourselves, back to Him.
Lord, I pray for all of my sisters today that you would capture them with your Grace. I pray that we will pause to concentrate on your strength and help in every aspect of our lives. Lord today, we bow to your perfect and divine will and ask that we might be recipients of your Grace so that we might in turn “capture others because of the manifestation of your pure Grace in our lives”.
Love to all,
Kay
