Hi Ladies,
I trust you are having a great week so far! Have you ever said, "This is not where I thought I would be at this time in my life, Lord."
You may be heartbroken over a child who is not walking with the Lord, devastated by some tragedy that has happened to a loved one, shattered because of a betrayal from a friend or family member, weary from a loss of income or financial ruin, or simply worn out from standing for a healing in your body. All of these trials can effect our walk with the Lord. When God begins to move on our behalf in these situations it will be phenomenal to see what He does. But first lets go back to the beginning of the journey. Can you remember when you may have said, "I will stand until..... no matter what Lord"? Part of the miracle is that we have gone through such a transformation we no longer look the same as when we began this journey of faith. We have a compassion for others that we probably would not have been able to develop without the trial. We have an inner strength that is immeasurable. We have an appreciation for the little things of life as never before. We no longer fear like we once did because we have weathered a storm and know who our God is. He is not just a story from the Bible anymore, He is our story.
Many times it feels like the only thing that will be left is the pain or the sense of loss with nothing significant to show for our trouble. I am reminded of the rose. There are many thorns on the stem but this does not take away from the beautiful flower. In Jeremiah is says, For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Your story is not over yet, it is still being written. Hear the Father saying, "I know this is not where you planned to be, but I've got it covered. You cannot continue to take new ground looking back. The past is the past. Leave it there and move forward from this day on." The plans He has for us far exceed what we thought they would look like, but we are so attached to what we think we need to happen that we cannot even see it sometimes when He is moving. Be Still and know that He is God and we can trust Him with our failures, disappointments, hopes, and dreams. He's got us covered.
My prayer for us this week is that we walk in an assurance and rest in what He is doing in each of our lives. That we can radiate peace and joy in the midst of our trials so that the world around us can see the God that we serve daily.
Love you my friends...... Tishia
