I Am A Bulldog! Are You?
All my life, while growing up, I’ve heard from my family, teachers, co-workers, and friends. They have said, mostly out of frustration, "You are so hardheaded & stubborn, you’re like a Bulldog." Did you know God can use that trait for the glory of his kingdom? I never thought of it that way until Andrew Eastman spoke over me and said “Your faith, you’re tenacious in your faith.” Tenacious meaning: holding fast, persistent, stubborn, or obstinate. Not easily pulled asunder, unyielding. When I think of that kind of faith, that kind of spiritual tenacity, it’s what we need daily for victory. I also think about the story of the persistent widow in Luke 18. Her persistence causes her to have her need met and be victorious. The story ends with verse 8 asking this question: "When the Son of man comes will He find faith (faithfulness, persistence) on the earth." When He comes I want my need met. I want to be victorious. Now I know as well as anyone that living by faith isn’t easy. There are time when the devil blindsides you and hurts you so badly that all your flesh wants to do is lie down, give up, or run away, and cry. Been there and done that. Well guess what, it doesn’t work, Satan just kicks you while you’re down. Then there are times when you want Jesus to appear to you & give you a tangible manifestation. But neither crying or fleshly manifestation will get the war won. Walk by Faith & not by sight. You have to keep going. Keep hammering away at the devil with your faith and refuse to let up. Faith links us to His Anointing, and when that happens your spirit is activated and you become bigger on the inside that you are on the outside. Being in the middle of a war is no time for holding back, giving in, or veggin out in front of the T.V. Eph 6:13&14 (paraphrased) says, and having done everything, to stand firm. STAND FIRM! In other words, hold your ground; taking it back if necessary. In a vision I had several years ago a group of people were marching through an old battle field picking up discarded armor and putting it on. They never missed a beat; just kept moving forward with a purpose. They also were facing Satan causing him to continue to back up. They backed him right to the edge of a cliff. Coming out of this vision Satan was rocking on his heels on the edge of that cliff. Let’s continue to move forward, taking back our ground, backing Satan down and keeping him off balance. Ladies be encouraged, be a Bulldog, be Tenacious. Love ya RC
