In Matthew 18:3 Jesus tells us that we must become like
little children or we "shall not enter the Kingdom of God."
Isn't it rather ironic that so long after the fall our basic struggle is
still the same as Adam and Eve's. For what ever reason, regard-
less of what we profess or even think that we believe, we more
fully trust in ourselves to meet the needs in our life. We trust our
intelligence, we trust our experience and acquired knowledge,
even our knowledge of God. We trust in ourselves and the battle
is on. We fight for our lives with the elements, with each other and
when we fail we fight our self. It kind of makes our real enemy
more obvious doesn't it.
Adam and Eve had the Garden and daily walks with God.
We have the blood of Jesus and His precious Spirit. We
would all agree that there is nothing left for God to do
to reveal His heart to us. Jesus came to reveal the Father and His
Kingdom but the people "wouldn't see" because they were looking
to be saved out of all their worldly troubles. This we preach. This
we might even fight and die for. But this will we live? According to
Jesus only child like faith can enter the Kingdom. Let's determine
to recognise the true battle and fight only to believe in Him.
