H - E - R - O

When we are kids we wanted to grow up to be like someone we think is our hero.  We may idolize the way they look or the important job that they do.  But do we as kids or even now as adults idolize someone’s spirituality?  God wants us to grow up and spirituality be like Jesus.  God’s intention for us is to be more like Christ.  He wants to see His son in us.  So as I study and think about Jesus one of the things that amazes me so much is that hurting people were drawn to him.  They came to him.  Jesus did not have to go out and work hard looking for people to save. They found him.  They came to him with no shame, no trickery, no pushing, and no deception.  They came to Jesus boldly, wholeheartedly, and with faith no matter what amount it was.  Jesus was their friend no matter what sin or sickness and people knew this about him.  So I am left with asking…What can I do to be more like my hero, Jesus?
